Associate Dean Gwen Gregory and Head of Special Collections and Archives Brad Wiles attended the Northwest Illinois Library Legislative Meetup on November 29 in Rochelle. This event was sponsored by the Illinois Library Association and focused on legislative actions that will affect libraries of all types. State and federal legislators are invited to participate. Brad and Gwen talked with Gema Tinoco, community liaison for Representative Lauren Underwood, about activities at the NIU library. They also met State Representative Bradley Fritts of the 74th District and colleagues from local public libraries, including Shabbona, Malta, and Creston.
