The Libraries have made five collaboration stations available for use by the NIU community on the first floor of Founders Memorial Library. The tables are located in the South-east corner of the first floor next to the Scholars Den. They are made up of a large table, six chairs and a large (40″) 4K display equipped with a variety of connectivity options including HDMI, VGA and DisplayPort to connect laptop computers or mobile devices. Users connecting a device to the monitor may immediately display the contents of its screen on the monitor so that others seated at the table more view it more readily and in a larger format. They may easily display multiple devices on the screen in turn by simply unplugging one and plugging in another. The stations also provide electrical access for the charging of laptops and/or other devices.
