In fiscal year 2023, the NIU Libraries started special project support for equity, diversity, and inclusion in its collections. Library faculty applied for and received funding to buy materials in areas they chose to target for enhancement. Seven proposals were funded for purchase of 296 items costing a total of $10,800. The proposals were from a wide variety of areas. We are confident that our collection has
been improved by this project and plan to continue it next fiscal year. Below is a list of the projects; if you would like a list of items bought or have comments, please contact Gwen Gregory at ggregory@niu.edu.
