Mary Burns, Special Collections Cataloger, has been appointed to the Committee on Cataloging: Description and Access (CC:DA). This is the body within the American Library Association responsible for developing official ALA positions on additions to and revisions of RDA: Resource Description and Access. As such, the group has important influence on the accessibility of library resources in the U.S. and throughout the world, discussing and setting standards for library cataloging.
